About Bruce Gingrich
A successful Texas entrepreneur, Bruce Gingrich founded, owns, and operates Lifechek Drug, America’s largest independent retail pharmacy chain, which spans 30 locations. His responsibilities include acquiring new businesses and managing infrastructure expansion, and he also negotiates with distributors on product pricing and contracts. Bruce Gingrich is currently engaged in transforming a Conroe, Texas, Lifechek Drug location into a Spectra Specialty compounding pharmacy.
A track & field standout in college, Mr. Gingrich attended Rice University in Houston on a full athletic scholarship. Receiving his degree in economics, he next attended the University of Houston and earned a pharmacy license in 1990. Establishing his first Richmond drug store from the ground up, Mr. Gingrich achieved a consistent profit and started a second store in Conroe in 1994. The following year, he became more involved in developing the business and focused on expanding into rural communities that were not served by the major pharmacy chains. In recent years, Bruce Gingrich has overseen the establishment of a number of compounding pharmacies.
