Nominated for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Gulf Coast region, Bruce Gingrich operates several pubs in Texas. He also serves as the CEO of Lifechek Drug, the largest single-owner independent drug store chain in the United States. Alongside his career, Bruce Gingrich contributes to such charitable organizations as Fort Bend Cares.
The Fort Bend Cares Open Championship, hosted by the Fort Bend Country Club, will take place on Friday, September 18, 2015, in Richmond, Texas. Sponsored by the Finnegan Auto Group, Silver Eagle Distributors, and TUV SUD America, the event will benefit Fort Bend Cares' service to youth across the county. The plan for the day includes two-man teams and a modified scramble tournament called Best Ball.
Since its establishment in 2004, Fort Bend Cares has provided over a $1 million in grants to nonprofit organizations who work to support youth and children. Since these nonprofits already exist to help those in need, Fort Bend Cares chose to supplement their work rather than form its own service programs.
