Lifechek Drug’s CEO Bruce Gingrich is actively involved with the charitable foundation Fort Bend Cares, an organization that raises money for nonprofit groups that serve underprivileged children in Fort Bend County, Texas. Each year, Fort Bend Cares hosts two major fundraising events to provide organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, Casa de Esperanza, and Boy Scouts of America with the funding they need to carry on with their missions. Bruce Gingrich and other supporters are presented with the opportunity to sponsor and participate in these events, with the funds from the purchasing of tickets and sponsorships going toward grant funding.
On Friday, September 18, Fort Bend Cares will host the second of its two major events of the year. Swing for Swings, a charity golf tournament, will help generate funding for local nonprofits, as well as contribute to the building of playground equipment in a community park scheduled to be installed in October of 2015. This year’s tournament will be held at the Greatwood Golf Club in Sugar Land, Texas. Participating teams will consist of two players each, and the game will be scored using the best ball format. A dinner and awards ceremony will immediately follow the end of the tournament. You can find more information about Swing for Swings and Fort Bend Cares on the organization’s website, www.fortbendcares.org.
